How To Measure Your Trampoline Springs

Step 3: Measure the Length of Your Springs
Measure the Length of Your Springs

Remove 3 or more springs from your trampoline and measure them from hook-end to hook-end. The average of these three springs is your spring length.

Important: Your springs should be completely unstretched. In order to ensure your springs are not stretched, you should not be able to slide a piece of paper between the coils. If a spring you are trying to measure is stretched, do not include this spring in your measurement as minor differences can create massive problems down the line. Under measuring your springs will cause more tension than your new replacement mat was designed for resulting in premature tearing. Over measuring your springs will result in a new mat that feels "saggy" with a terrible bounce quality.
